Ingredients

Cherry Cobbler
  • 2 20 ounce cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 8 tbsp butter melted
Brown Sugar Topping
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup quick rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Slow-Cooker Liners

Method

  1. Pour the cherry pie filling to the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, add cake mix, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until well combined and pour over the top of the cherry pie filling.
  3. Pour 8 tablespoons of melted butter over the top of the top of the dry cake mix.
  4. In a small bowl, add brown sugar, rolled oats, and melted butter. Mix until well combined and spoon over the top of the cobbler.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve with caramel sauce and ice cream. Enjoy!

Notes

Drape a few paper towels over the slow cooker before placing the lid on top to absorb condensation. Pour butter evenly over cake mix for even cooking. Check doneness with a toothpick. Monitor at 2.5 hours during first cook to avoid overcooking.
